I'm on Cult of Gracie Tonight!
I'm getting all fluttery just thinking about it. If you have a few minutes tonight at 7 pm PST, stop by to listen, ask a question and hopefully feel some fluttery excitement right along with me! I'll give the tell-all report tomorrow....
I really enjoyed listening to this interview. I'm sorry I didn't get to do it while it was live, but I'm so glad I got the chance to hear it anyway. The way Gracie talked about Amorous Woman and the questions she asked really made me remember rather intimately how much I loved the novel...I really remembered as I listened to your conversation some of the distinct ways that it moved me.
And of course I loved a number of the things you said. I loved the brief discussion about the "coming" and "going" syntactical difference between America and Japan in referencing orgasm (thanks for the prompt, ER!), and at the very end, I loved your point about how your erotic writing not being "forbidden" from your sons makes it less fixating/compelling to them...I feel appreciative of that kind of recognizance and feel we would do well to consider/recognize it in many interactions in this culture, especially dealing with children and especially dealing with sex as well (and possibly, as with the very subject you were talking about, with the conjunction of the two).
I much enjoyed Jeremy's question too, as well as your answer to it. :)
So I guess what I'm saying is I overall found it a beautiful interview, and thanks as usual for sharing!
Hey KM, perhaps now is the time to confess my red-hot fantasy about you--I dream you've invited me over for dinner for your wonderful food, wine and conversation. In other words, the feeling is mutual :-)
And thank you, Emerald, for listening and for your shimmering words of support. I am trying to be a different kind of parent around sexual issues than my parents were (although they weren't the worst from stories I've heard). That's definitely changing the world one small step at time!
Well, I love the part about Jeremy's naked form as the table (another confession--isn't the photo on his web site HOT?). But I'd really rather taste some of your gourmet cooking, KM. I'm sure you could do a fabulous fusion translation of the "traditional" Japanese kaiseki on the very inspiring Jeremy canvas.
Okay, when is this going to happen? I'm packing up my Girl Scout mess kit now!

I'm planning on being there! Who wants to join me in the chat room? (It's like being in the studio audience for a TV show!)
Excellent presentation, as always!!!
Thank you!
Thank you, EllaRegina and Jeremy for you palpable and public support! It was a fun interview and I was thrilled Gracie really seemed to like the book!

Captivating, compelling, and enlightening as always, DGS!
And all night long, I had lovely dreams about eager women with itchy eyebrows. ; )

My mouth is watering already!
[Blushing : )]
Wow, this is exciting! I mean, usually I just contribute a bottle of wine.
Speaking of which ... white underwear or red for this meal?
Underwear? I don't think you have the picture quite right ;-)
YES! Red cabbage is perfect. You're a natural, KM. I can see this might have potential as a depression-era entertainment....
Cool—I always wanted to be part of the WPA!
