Yes, it's only two short weeks until a very exciting, I might even say orgasmic, erotica event at the venerable Booksmith at 1644 Haight Street, San Francisco's coolest 'hood. That's Friday, January 28 at 7:30 pm, and I'll be there in my corset (pictured above--and don't I look satisfied?) reading an excerpt from my story, "The Big O," in Rachel Kramer Bussel's very steamy anthology, Orgasmic. However, I'll keep the lacing loose so I can sample the cupcakes afterwards (talk about getting all your juices flowing). If you're in the Bay Area, or have a Star Trek transporter in your basement, beam on over because this is going to be yummmmy, as well as thought-provoking and instructive!
Here's the official teaser:

RACHEL KRAMER BUSSEL and VIOLET BLUE/ Orgasmic
With Susie Hara, Dusty Horn, and Donna George Storey
Award-winning local writer and sexpert Violet Blue (Best Women’s Erotica 2011, Seal It With a Kiss) and New York-based erotica author and editor Rachel Kramer Bussel (Orgasmic, Fast Girls) join forces to bring you an evening of sexy smut! Featuring local Orgasmic contributors Susie Hara, Dusty Horn, and Donna George Storey, plus free cupcakes, this promises to be a steamy night of sensuous stories.
What gets you off? How do you like to come? Let Orgasmic count the ways…with 25 stories centered around female orgasm, there’s something here for every reader. The women in Orgasmic climax from Tantric sex, role-playing, piercing, G-spot play, sex toys, horseback riding, BDSM, a belt and even chemistry–the scientific kind. They delight in food, God and handymen. They create their own objects of pleasure; they spy, tease, obey, command, argue, submit. Some are shy about their orgasms and some are bold as can be. They come, and come and come again, and they do it in some of the hottest, most creative ways you can think of. Featuring red-hot erotica by some of today’s hottest writers, these stories will make you want to stop everything and have an orgasm immediately…once you’ve turned the last succulent page.

I'd go just to see the corset! OK, the stories would be a draw too. ;) You didn't actually say what day it is, but I think I'll be traveling then. Perhaps flying right over you! Toss up a cupcake!
Hey Shar, thank you for pointing out that pretty important missing detail! I've revised the post to include the date now. Hmmm, guess I'm out of practice with promotional basics and/or so immersed in my new novel, I assume everyone else can read my thoughts, lol.
In any case, the cupcakes will be mini, so I'll toss up a selection!
It's at Booksmith, 1644 Haight Street in San Francisco at7:30 and there will be free vegan cupcakes! If you can't make it but know people in the Bay Area pretty please spread the word...Donna and I are also at Good Vibrations in Berkeley the night before, January 27th, 6:30-8. here is the official Booksmith link.
Thanks, Rachel, even more edits, and I think the mysteries of where and when are clarified!
I'm planning to blog about GV in the next few days as well.
I do wish I could be there! Of course, a lovely report of the events at this blog would be a nice consolation.
